Mary has been a dental hygienist for over 40 years and has recently taken on the duties of the front desk and office coordinator. Her caring nature and friendly smile will welcome you on the phone or in the office and her years of dental experience are an asset in answering any of your questions. Mary is a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Hygiene and has worked with our dentist for the last 20 years. Mary loves being active outdoors, walking her dog Tanger, riding bikes and hiking with her husband and traveling to new places. Her passion for birdwatching has taken her to exciting states and countries like Alaska, Hawaii, Belize and Norway. She and her husband live in Wexford and have three wonderful children; a daughter in NYC, a son in Texas, and a son at Penn State.
Sue is a West Virginia University graduate with 30 years of hygiene experience. She is passionate about educating her patients and challenging them to achieve a higher level of dental health. Sue has been married for 28 years and lives in Valencia with her baseball-loving family. Her husband is a high school varsity baseball coach, her eldest son is a MLB pitcher for the San Diego Padres, and her middle son is a pitcher for Mississippi State. Her daughter is in high school, plays travel fast pitch softball, and occasionally helps in our office. No wonder she is such a great team member!
Tonja has been a hygienist for 32 years with a degree from Temple University. Her cheerful smile and friendly personality make her patients feel right at home. Tonja has been a valuable part of this practice for many years. While working part-time in our practice, and in two other offices and raising her 4 beautiful children, Tonja has limited free time. When she does get a minute, she enjoys horseback riding, watching movies and cheering for her kids as they play an assortment of sports.
With over 18 years of experience as a dental hygienist, Karen joined the team in 2014. She brings youth, energy and phenomenal organizational skills to our office; and her caring nature and gentle technique are perfect for patients of all ages. Karen graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a dental hygiene degree and also worked as a dental assistant prior to that, developing the uncompromising professionalism she displays every day. Karen has lived in the Pittsburgh area her whole life and despite being able to pass for a teenager, she is a married mother of 4 children, including a set of twins. In her free time, Karen enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Rasha graduated from Duquesne University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She started working with us February of 2019 as an auxiliary assistant and she is looking to apply to dental school, her goal is to become a dentist in the future.
